The Moviegoer
by
main characters
Binx Bolling, Kate
Rip's impressions
Binx is a very likeable character. The novel describes what living in a suburb of New Orleans was like; it does not focus around Bourbon Street, which has captured so much popular attention in the public's imagination.
first line

last lines
(spoiler alert)
I watch her walk toward St Charles, cape jasmine held against her cheek, until my brothers and sisters call out behind me.
